Tom Chicoine, CEO of Food Management Inc.
Tom Chicoine has 30 years of executive management and technical experience in food manufacturing, warehousing, distribution operations, retail and new enterprise businesses. He has held positions responsible for multi-facility profit centers, management of major investments into new company start-ups and directing projects within diverse vocational environments.
Tom is presently CEO of Food Chain Management Incorporated, a data analytics and professional services firm supporting the perishable food industry. Tom was also a former Director of Quality Control for HP Hood of Boston, Plant Manager of Garelick Farms in Franklin MA, Vice President of Manufacturing and Distribution for the convenience store groups of The Lawson Company (Sara Lee), Dairy Mart Convenience Stores and Cumberland Farms/Gulf Oil.
As founder and president of Truck Care Network (TCN), Tom was involved in the designing, building and implementation of networked maintenance services and programs for the class 8 trucking industry. TCN was engaged by elite companies such as Shell Oil and Bandag Tires.
TCN also managed a number of business relationships to include board member and acting COO of Safefreight Technologies of Edmonton, business consultant to Map Fusion of Toronto, fleet analyst to Allina Hospitals of Minnesota, project manager to Life Link Air Medical Services and business development executive for the Australian based telematics company Cooltrax.
Tom received a degree in Dairy Science from the University of Massachusetts, was a certified food laboratory technician, a licensed food processor and acquired HACCP Certification in Planning and Development from the International HACCP Alliance. Tom also taught the Cycle of Economics to high school students under the Junior Achievement program, was a board member of the Sales & Marketing Executives of Akron and was honorably discharged from the Army Reserves after six years of service.
